Reviews for Poppy’s Bagels / Little Purse
Review highlights
Based on 357 reviewsPoppy’s Bagels / Little Purse, located in Houston’s Terminal C, garners positive attention for its flavorful dumplings, particularly pork and vegetable varieties, which are frequently highlighted as standout menu items. The black garlic ramen also receives favorable mentions, offering a satisfying alternative within the airport dining options. While the food quality is praised for exceeding expectations generally associated with airport fare, some reviewers note that service can be slow, partly due to the use of tablet-based ordering. Pricing is viewed as reasonable, and the atmosphere provides a pleasant respite during layovers. Minor feedback suggests slight adjustments in seasoning could enhance certain dishes, but overall, the brand is appreciated for delivering tasty, convenient meals in a convenient airport setting.
Good dumplings especially the pork and leek. Service is not that fast but you have to use the tablets to order. About 6-9 per 5 dumplings, not too expensive and definitely good food
Had 4 hours to kill at IAH so it was decided to go on a little foodie expedition. We stopped at 5 different IAH restaurants in Terminal A and C. At each we asked the server what their favorite item from the menu was and tried it. The pork and vegetable dumplings were recommended here and they delivered! It was the best item we had across the 5 restaurants by a long shot. Restaurant had a cute and cozy atmosphere.
I don’t know how anyone giving this place a bad review. The food here was insanely good and competes with some of the top ramen spots in Houston. I recommend the pork dumplings and the black garlic ramen. I’m actually blown away that food in an airport was this good.
I don’t know why the reviews are so low, food was very tasty, drinks were great, and our server was really awesome. Helped the layover go by quick.
The ramen was not as bad as the reviews, but far exceeded expectations. Asians have certified that the taste is okay, but it would be better if you don’t put so much ginger slices next time.
I've been here twice already. The food is always great! Service is okay but only because they're usually busy. Wait time is about 10 minutes.
We did have a very good experience in this place. I am grading it, taking in consideration that it is an airport restaurant so, of course, it would not be fair to compare to any city high end place. As such, our food was very enjoyable, service was great, and ordering online went without any problems. Also, the wait time was as expected for an airport (i.e. short), where you have limited time in between connections.
Really nice place to hang out while waiting at the airport. The waiters are very friendly and professional. The food is really good! It is expensive but you can see that upfront, their menu is displayed on the outside. Love the music and vibe of this place!
Great atmosphere, Pork & Shrimp Shumai were the star of my meal, the Philly Cheesesteak Spring Rolls were okay at best, the horseradish sauce tasted like ranch which was disappointing. My wife enjoyed the Chicken Shio Ramen. Prices were high but what airport restaurant isn’t. Our server was friendly but I’m not a fan of a “sit down” restaurant - tip by percentage before you receive your food or experience service feature offered when ordering on the iPad. Expect to spend at least $30/ person
